This essay should examine a corruption-related issue or problem in Southeast Asia. It should be aimed at either a specific or general policy-making audience and advocate for either a general approach to addressing the problem or a particular course of action. Like the presentation topic, the problem could be a good/bad corruption record, the success/failure of an anti-corruption intervention, an improvement/deterioration in corruption conditions, or the introduction by a government or body of a new anti-corruption policy/law or failure to introduce such a policy/law. The essay should not reproduce material used in the group presentations. I have already decide a theme, which is Singapore’s corruption and anti-corruption. Please be aware, the key of the essay is to “aimed at either a specific or general policy-making audience and advocate for either a general approach to addressing the problem or a particular course of action”. Also, please do focus on the general picture, go in depth on details or specific actions on Singapore government. Most importantly, please relate everything you have argued in the essay with culturalist, neoliberal, natural resource-centred or structuralist. You can relate to one of these perpectives, or two, or three or even relate to all of them. Thank you very much. If you have any questions please do not be hesitate to contact me.
