T‌‌‌‍‍‌‍‌‌‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‌‍‍he essay should be 2500 words excluding the Works Cited, and should be based on EXTENSIVE outside research into the primary text(s), author, historical contexts, and any other aspect of your subject needed. It is up to you to determine how much research to do, and there is no minimum/maximum of sources you should consult. All citations need to be in MLA format. You may choose to develop your own research question (discuss with me first), or you may choose to research and write on any one of the questions below: 2) What does love have to do with it? Discuss. 3) Examine the construction of gender (masculinity or femininity) in any one text studied in this course. 4) Explore themes of monstrosity and/or animality in one or more of the texts studied in this course 6) Discuss the impact of an intended audience on the authorial process in one or more texts studied this term. 7) Explore the representation or construction of sexuality in one or more texts studied in this course. Above is the exact description of the assignment given to me by my professor. This is a large research paper and it requires a lot of time to complete well. I expect a lot of communication from my writer and hope that they will look into following multiple of the research question prompts before deciding which one to peruse, and hopefully we can discuss briefly the choice of question before the writer fully commits to that essay. I will provide links to multiple readings that must be FULLY READ before research on either one can begin. The readings will not be full novels are unsuitably long but to complete th‌‌‌‍‍‌‍‌‌‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‌‍‍e paper properly they have to be read and understood. I can provide some notes on the readings to help with context. Ideally two or three readings will be discussed in the paper and the writer should not choose to discuss one reading without talking to me first about it. I will also provide log in information to the writer for my university library, so that they have full access to multiple scholarly sources. I assume multiple revisions at this point will be necessary so please plan for that. Please do not commit to an essay topic without speaking to me, if you do as such I may ask you to change it. Make sure all sources used in this essay are properly cited in MLA format, and that each one is cited internally within the essay. Do not cite sources that are not used in the essay.
