There are two lesson plans, the first is Colors, and the second is Numbers. These lesson plans are for English Language Learners 1. What is the purpose of having the color in activities 4 and 8? Students don’t even get to pronounce or listen to numbers 1-10 (step 4). Make sure ELs practice listening & speaking when they go over these numbers. Include number recognition practice too. For e.g. Have each student say his/her number when sitting in order. Collect the number cards and hand out a different card to each student for the sing along. Students mus​‌‌‌‍‍‌‍‌‌‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‌‍‍​t hold up their number when the number is mentioned in the song (so they connect the symbol and oral words). Also I’d do a matching game where students pair the number words in English and the other language. It would aid memory and future retrieval of the newly learned English words. 2. I’m not clear about step 8 instructions. Will there be two colored cards for each number? How will this help them name and sequence the numbers 1-20? If you want to review the color while they count from 1-20, you could have them count how people are wearing specific color shirts/shoes/watch strap or any objects they can find in the classroom. Make sure the activities will provide oral and listening practice. both lesson plans need editing. I believe I have attached them to the file. One is on colors, the second is on numbers
