This event must also be attractive to the tourism sector as well as the host community. The festival or special event will be a new development opportunity that should align with the region’s destination strategy and attributes (ie of the state where your campus is located). This task should not be an analysis of an existing event. Students can ‘import’ elements of an event from overseas/elsewhere, but will need to provide evidence on how it would be developed for local conditions and alternative market (host community, visitors and tourists). Students will need to ensure their event is novel. The proposal will need to include a brief description of a co-creative element (visitor interaction and experience) – that is, that includes a co-creative installation for audience participation.
